The DAT-Schaub Group has the widest product range of natural and artificial casings in the world and thus able to fulfil any need for speciality products to the food industry.
Natural casings consist of the following: hog casings, sheep casings, beef casings and in some countries also horse casings. The casings can be supplied in all sizes and qualities, natural or coloured and selected in the required length. Furthermore, the casings can be delivered salted or in drain, non tubed or tubed on soft or hard tube.
Regarding artificial casings the Group represents some of the leading brands in the industry, Viscofan, Naturin and Visko, and covers the whole range of artificial casings, i.e. collagen, plastic, fibrous etc.
The Group has own blending facilities for ingredients in France and Norway, and together with the customers the Group is able to develop blends fulfilling the customer’s needs for function, taste etc.
The Group also represents some of the leading suppliers of packaging. Furthermore, the Group has its own line of casing cleaning and selection machines. However, in certain markets the company also sells other machinery to the food industry.
